Priory School, East Sussex and Collège Thérésien, La Réunion

Priory School, a performing arts and language college, joined the programme in January 2008. They wanted to work with a French-speaking school and involve subjects other than languages in the school's international dimension. Their partner school is Collège Thérésien on the French overseas territory of La Réunion.
Since meeting up at the Inter-Action conference in Paris in January, staff from the two schools have maintained regular email contact, while their students have begun to swap ideas, letters, and films.
Activities so far
- A class of students at Priory have sent letters (in French) to a class at the partner school
- Another class have made a video about the school for students in La Réunion
- As their partners in La Réunion were interested in swapping recipes and cooking ideas, students at Priory filmed the school's recent Masterchef competition to send them
Future plans
Staff at Priory are seeking funding to send their music learning coordinator to La Réunion to work on a music project with staff and students there.
