Aims and objectives
The aim of the programme is to facilitate long-lasting partnerships between language colleges and schools in France with sections européennes, based on jointly-planned projects which meet the needs of learners in both schools.
The objectives of the programme are to create opportunities to:
. Increase students' cultural understanding by encouraging them to explore themes of mutual interest with their partners
. Improve teaching and learning across a range of subject disciplines
. Assist learning in the foreign language through active communication, both long distance and face to face
. Allow teachers to share practice and ideas for delivering the international dimension
. Facilitate cross-curricular working including the teaching of other curriculum subjects in a foreign language
. Encourage the imaginative use of ICT for communication
